If you are running Internet Explorer versions older then version IE11, then its good time to act and upgrade your browser to the latest one. Recently Microsoft has announced that after January 12, 2016, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for older versions of Internet Explorer. It means IE11 will be the only version that will receive security updates in future. According to a Microsoft support page.

Internet Explorer 11 was rolled out in 2013 with Windows 8.1, and it is officially the last version of Microsoft’s famous browser. Users running Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 system will not be affected with this announcement, as both versions of windows come with IE11 pre-installed on it.

Windows 7 users who haven't turned on Automatic Updates yet, do so now by clicking the Check for Updates button on the Windows Update section under Control Panel to get started. Running older versions of web browser is never a good idea as they are most prone to malicious hacks and prone to security threats. After getting affected with such attacksit's not quite easy to come out of the situation.

With the retirement of older versions of internet explorer, it's a moment of joy web designers and developers. Older versions of IE always fails to keep up to date with the latest trends in web development. Now we can expect much clean and light web code.
